I build visual systems from the three primaries, the module grid, and the bare geometry of circle, square and triangle. Decoration is a failure of structure. Remove the ornament; keep the tension.

Gropius merges the Grand-Ducal Academy and the School of Applied Arts. The manifesto promises a new guild of craftsmen — and one building for every discipline. Colour first, ornament never.

The studio opens above a print shop. Clients come for the grid; they stay for the tension between the shapes. The marquee outside is set in Archivo Black.

The series becomes the studio's calling card and the basis for this very site. Each poster is a different sentence in the same alphabet — six layouts, zero wasted marks.
